I&#39;ve rewritten the minimap&#39;s code since the last inception, it now centers around the player and can give you the locations of nearby entities.
there&#39;s still a few things left to do, but it&#39;s coming along great so far</description>

		<description>I&#39;ve wanted to do either 1 of two things to indicate to the player nearby objects...
the first idea was to use a HUD compass, ie, arrows all over your screen pointing to enemies and objects and friendly creatures.
the second is a minimap, and this is a quick proof of concept minimap

simply a circle is drawn via GL_POLYGON using 16 vertexes, and filled with the map, a quad is then overlayed, and the overlay itself is good enough to hid the vertexes. This also currently shows the player&#39;s correct position on the world.

it&#39;ll eventually show blips of nearby enemies, creatures, items, and I&#39;m hoping to allow users to create blips too, should they desire to for whatever reason. (ie, the result of a quest they scripted to help give the player a few bearings).

for those that want to play with it, run sandbox in RPG mode and type /testminimap 1</description>
