Windows Server R5.3 Patch File

23rd May 2005 - New Patch for R5 GC R5.3 The tides yet turn for another patch of Galactic Conquest! Through the past months the remaining GC Developers worked to patch specific bugs and even add new content to an already impressive R5 release. One main patch was directed towards the Bespin map level as we encountered issues with it's intermittent crashing while playing online. Throughout working on the patch new options were also discovered or implemented which led to more time and also re-testing. After much hard work and great effort on behalf of the GC Team, we would like to welcome the public to now enjoy this patched version of GC. You can Download the files for both Windows client and Windows server, from the Mirror Sites listed in this news post.

Anaglyph Stereo Quake

Anaglyph Quake is a modified version of glQuake designed to be viewed with Anaglyph Glasses. The purpose of viewing with Anaglyph glasses is so that the image is viewed in stereo (a separate image for each eye), which is the basis for depth perception. Thus, with this version of Quake, red-cyan glasses, and a suitable computer, you can play Quake in real 3D. Anaglyph Glasses Anaglyph Glasses are red-blue glasses (the red lens is over the left eye ). They rely on the idea that the red light will only pass through the red lens, and blue light will only pass through the blue lens. Thus by printing the two different views in these opposing colours, the viewer will see a stereo view, and hence depth (amusing that the two images are appropriate viewpoints of the same scene ). Because red&blue are 2/3 of the colours used by monitors for display , you can get red-cyan glasses, cyan allowing both blue and green thorough.

Jailbreak v5 Final

This Jailbreak mod is unfortunately the final release of this mod. Jereme had a computer meltdown and he lost all the original maps. So all he could've released is the latest versions of chapter 1 & 2 that he gave to the beta testers. Be well aware that these test maps include allot of bugs such as: - Combine falling through ledge in level 1 - Manhack AI messed up in level 1, missing water surface in level 2 - Unbalanced gameplay in level 2 (you can beat it if you really try), and no ending When you get to the room above the red tunnel, that's the end. Of course, its always really nice to check out these maps, even though they do have bugs in it. But Jereme did said that after he finishes 2 CS maps that he is currently working on, that he will make a new Half-Life 2 Campaign. Have fun with these maps.
