Hi all or to those that read these words, apologies for going missing these past few months. Honestly speaking, I haven't found time for mods or games or even digital illustration ever since I started art school, and I don't resent this state of affairs. I really want to devote my time and energy to art making and education and growing myself for art practice (whether I do or can do it is another matter). I still pop on Arma or Fallout 3 or L4D every now and then, but these things just do not hold my attention very well now, this is exacerbated by the fact that I am finding less and less meaning (for lack of a better word, not that I harp on and on about meaningfulness or the lack of it in postmodern urban life) in such activity. Perhaps one day I will return, I do have unfinished work for Asylum waiting afterall, and a couple of C&C-themed paintings to show everyone. But until then, this should be all, hope you have a good day, whenever whoever you read this wherever, cheers!

Words go here.

I am currently a student of painting at a local arts college. I am a member of Slipstream Productions and work on Tiberium Wars mod Asylum and Sins of a Solar Empire mod Dawn of Victory. I gernerally paint pictures and draw things (backstorytelling, mood pieces, visualisation, concept design). Some years back I helped found and make a Yuri's Revenge total conversion called AR2. I used to do RTS game texturing when normal maps and all that jazz did not yet exist in games, then it got a bit too complicated/tedious for me and I focused on illustration. I would some day like to work on a "current to next generation" FPS mod if just to broaden my experience, if you think I can help you out feel free to let me know. I tend to focus more on aesthetic qualities found in current reality, modern history and science fiction over those of high fantasy, steampunk, and ancient history. I do not typically like animu. I have a website which I have failed to update with any sort of regularity. I also have a DeviantArt account that features some newer work but only because it gives me an audience in a quicker way.

version what?

So it's kinda spiffy that we can do this stuff new now, blog, post media, have friends and whatnot, but these things don't even work properly (would be nice if the gallery had image ordering, thumbnailing features), and you can't help noticing that a ton of stuff that made moddb user-friendly are simply gone. Most glaring of all, that you can no longer tell immediately what mod a news post is linked to, and what game this mod is for. I think this sentiment is one that lots of people carry as well.

Anyways, I don't even do much modding these days, just conceptualisation when I'm not lazy (well I'm getting out of the armed forces soon, conscription and all that) and some paintings here and there to help out with the mods that I love, so I'm not quite sure just what I'm doing here anymore or if this opinion even counts.
