(C&C) Act on Instinct remake WIP

I was bored and decided to try and learn more about reason 3.0, so this track is more of a learning track than it is a track made from my skills.
This is a WIP, obviously it has plenty of issues in there with volume, sounds needing to be different, the song needing to be more consistent and structured rather than chopping to bits, and a bunch of other niggly things like right at the end needing to be fixed up etc.

Enjoy :)

The original Act on Instinct song was made by Frank Klepacki who did all of the original Command and Conquer songs.
This musician is great, definately an inspiration to those wanting to do some heavy sounding music in their games and mods.

Jurassic Park SNES song remake 1

This is my remake of one of the old Super Nintendo "Jurassic Park" songs.
I don't know the name of it, so i'll just say that it's the one with the flutes and is fairly upbeat and happy sounding. :P

The other version I had on here was very short and extremely repetative, but this afternoon I did what I could to fix that up without having to scrap the whole song and redo it to be nearly exactly the same as the original.
It is still repetative, but ahwell, it's catchy :)

Call me wierd, but yet again, this was one of those 3am tracks..well, it was actually 2am, but the point is, I only think of good tracks when I want to bloody well sleep ><
So I started the track off by doing about 15mins work on it so I wouldn't forget the track later on, and I worked on the track when I got up that morning for about 1hr and a half.
It will be used as background, ambient music. It does have a bit of pace, but it's extremely slow and monotonous rather than having a great deal of rythm.

RUN!

I have to admit that music comes to me at the strangest times, like for this example, I was laying in bed at about 3am in the morning when suddenly after a days worth of humming music and sounding out music, I finally got something that sounded like it'd fit into a fast paced event.
So I spent about an hour (well, realistically it was an hour and about 15mins + about 30mins the next day changing volumes etc) working on this track and came out with a fast paced track that I think would be used for a scenario where you are being chased down/hunted.
Of course, it could also be used for a boss battle, but my mod won't have boss battles, lol.

This is one of the later tracks that I planned to just use as background ambient music, but i'm thinking that it's a little too much.
I think that ambient music should mainly consist of strings for the type of mod i'm doing, the drum beats add pace, and there is no pace except the players pace..until the crap hits the fan. Which will trigger a music track such as another one I have called RUN that i'll upload soon.

When all hell breaks loose

This is another one of my earlier tracks. Some have told me it sounds a bit like rammstein mixed with the marylin manson resident evil main theme, so I guess that's a good thing for what I was trying to achieve.
The track obviously needs some work. The distortion (saw) noise in it is too violent to the speakers, but I just haven't got around to fixing that up yet.
And this is also to show that the heavy guitar sounds i'm using having what I like to call a "coughing" effect which makes the guitar sounds sound really synthetic. Note that this is not a good thing, this is mainly to show what sortof sounds i'm working with here.
I do like the track however, the drum beat in particular is nice I think, and goes to show that there isn't really anything wrong with the drums i'm using, it's just how I've used them in other older tracks that make the drums sound bad.
I don't use loops in my tracks, I manually put in each keynote and if need be, I simply copy and paste segments and edit them.

The hardest Journey

This track was inspired by 28 weeks later while the kids were driving the scooter to their home, however the track is nothing like the music that plays during that scene. It was also inspired by when the characters are travelling the streets to get to shelter, the music wasn't heavy paced, it was light, and had alot of contrast to the scene.
This track mainly consists of piano's and took me about 2 hours to complete. However it does need some fixes to it, but i'd rather let you comment on it and tell me what you think rather than me telling you all what the problems are and you guys looking for those problems.

I do have the complete opposite tracks aswell. My musical talent is not limited to one type of music, I can do heavy, horror, etc etc. Whatever is on my mind, I will try to create.

I'm a perfectionist, so I will simply say that this track is still a WIP. There are a few things like the drum beat that I want to vary a bit and also fix up some volume issues, bass and what not.
Chances are, if you find a fault, I've already thought of it, but please share your "constructive" criticism. It is most certainly welcome :)
