On one hand, summer approacheth with the impending thought of Afghanistan, while juggling officer selection on the other. Really need to find that medical form too... not seen that in a while... and that needs to be in soon if I want to get a place by summer... ah well. I can wait :) Want to make a campaign map-pack for Cold War Crisis. But my mapping skills are... sub-par... and my coding skills need a little work done to them. Sort of hoping these mapping endevours don't end up like TYC. To be fair though, I don't think the whole team was reeeeeally committed. Hell, I wasn't. Did a lot of theory stuff, worked out the plot and everything but really lacked the time to lead it through its entirety. I passed the first phase of officer selection with a 3 month delay. Hooray for me I guess. In other news the map pack isn't happening, but I saw that coming anyway. Been too busy. Transferring regiments in a few months to the Paras, which should be fun. P Company training begins somewhere amidst September-November, fingers crossed. 5 years with the Paras anyone can opt for SF selection which you can bet your ass I'm going to do. Me in the SAS. Phwoar :D 07/10/09 So I'm an bog-standard infantryman for a while longer. Turns out I missed the start of the Para cadre and now have to wait until February. At least by next summer I should theoretically be a qualified jumper, which will be nice! As fore the modding... Well I just don't have the time, there's so much shit flying around at the moment. Emailed some guy a while ago about a prequel campaign to COD4 and that seemed promising, due to be using the MW2 SDK if one is available. Unsurprisingly it's about the Russians.
