That's right...
Time and laziness.
They have attacked and seem to conquer me.

I hate to say it, because I really thought I can get working, but looks like I can't. I need to finish some websites, look for a summer job (hopefully more websites), have a little vacation, etc.

So looks like I officially got delayed until EDIT: When I'm not lazy and have the willpower to learn the Source.
Oh man, wish I had more time on my hand... and some self-confidence.

See you next time,

Getting around...

Well yeah, It's been awhile since I last wrote something...
Now let's see what we got:

I have registered to DeviantART if someone is interested in my artwork :)
http://vidramd.deviantart.com/
Feel free to drop in and post some comments :D

Told myself that I will begin to mod, and I will keep my promise, but I'm soon leaving Scotland for the summer (I came here for college), going back to Hungary and then I'll hope I have the time to begin. Even a chess mod needs some work :)

Also I'm getting to know myself on ModDB, although I don't participate in everything, don't listen to the podcast and I'm mainly interested in Source engine games, I still like it here.
I just love Half-Life 2 and it's engine, and I can't wait to have the time (and ambition) to really get started working with it. Still some shitty mods around, but yeah... this will always be the same. Like that little idiot from "The Craft" mod, who keeps deleting comments, and suck at both creating contents and modding. He deleted about 5 of my comments by now, for no real reason.
There was also another strange thing, a guy was creating a mod called "I'm alive" and I told him in a comment about the upcoming Ubisoft game with the title "I am Alive" which is apperantly the same thing, except I think It's going to be a single player and the mod was a multiplayer, anyway, the mod was deleted the next time I was looking for it. I don't know if it's a work of a moderator or the guy just realized the truth or something else... :)

Wish I could join a group of developers too. I'm not really good at 3D modelling and working with Source (so far, but I keep learning it) but I think I can be a very good story writer and texture artist. I learned multimedia here so now I know Photoshop and basic design :)

Well that's all for now. I will update the blog when I started the modding progress.

See ya'

Well, here am I...

Registered to Moddb.com not to long ago..
Why?
Because I love mods and I love to play free games :)
I only have access to HL1 and Source related mods though, but that's enough for now, Source is very powerful and ageing very well I think. Maybe I get of copy of Crysis just to try out the Jurassic Park and Petrograd mods :)
The are some very good mods here, and some very good are coming. I'm still looking forward to try Black Mesa Source, Empires, Raindrop, Dystopia, Jailbreaks new version and many more :)
There are some very talented people here, but it's a shame that there are some with none. :P
Take a look for example: Half-Life 2 Arctic Adventure, I think that would tell all.

What about my skills, do I have any?
Well yes and no.
I'm a designer student, so if anyone gives me a texture making job I think I can do it, also I have a very basic knowledge for 3D modelling and I'm looking forward to learn that.

I'm planning to create mods. I want to work with the Team Fortress 2 engine, because its not modified much, but I simply love it's graphical style.
For a first mod, I'm going to create a Team Fortress 2 chess, probably using a free chess engine from the internet. I'm hoping to learn map creating/designing on the way, but I'm not sure about the programming. I just can't learn that, so I going to need some help :P
But time will tell what will come out of it. :)
