In 975 A.E, the People's Workers Union in protest against massive layoffs and paycuts toward Antarean workers, took the shipyards of Halifax Station at Ixion. The United League of Planets (which the Antareans have been under then, ever since their defeat on the First Antarean War) sent Commodore Kurtis Bradley with his taskforce to resolve the problem. Bradley, already ill-willed toward Antareans (most of his family has died in a terrorist attack organized by the Crusaders of Ios, an Antarean separatist organization), had been easily convinced that Crusaders has organized the takeover as a trap for his fleet and he blasted the shipyard out of the sky without warning, taking the lives of twenty-four thousand eight hundred and seventy-two men and women onboard. His action also cost the life of one of the most beloved Antareans. The daughter of an Antarean dignitary who was on Halifax like thousands of other people to celebrate the Crowning Day, one of the more important Antarean holidays that mostly celebrated artistry after the first war and the toppling of the Antarean Emperors. This caused an outrage in 2nd and 6th district, previously looking toward ULP with a glimmer of hope. An heir to the Antarean throne resurfaced and the Antareans formally declared war again on the ULP soon after. Thus began the Second Antarean War. Not part of this particular mod but just thought I should upload it since it gives you a more accurate image of the vast scope and the whole universe behind our mod.
