You must make it to the next jump by either rocket jumping, grenade priming, using the detanators, or what ever way you find that works. You will be returned to that beginning of the jump you were on if you fail to complete it. From the map start it is a race to make it to the end of the map by going through easy to difficult challenges. There are a couple different gameplay modes: racing, top scorer, free for all.
